Shopping for a post mastectomy swimsuit can be embarrassing and frustrating!  The Essential Woman Boutique make this challenge a little easier by providing a private and comfortable atmosphere.  We carry Amoena and T.H.E. brands of mastectomy swimwear. Every one of our suits has pockets that hold breast forms in place.  Perfect for lounging by the pool, water aerobics or relaxing in the spa.  We have one-piece, 2 pc tankini's, high-cut, skirt fashion, and plus sizes.

We recommend that you use the Amoena Swim form in your mastectomy swimwear. The clear triangle shaped form has a hollow, concave back which allows water to flow through for maximum comfort and confidence in and out of the water.  Available in our Estore.

Swimwear Care

With proper care you can preserve the beauty and shape of your swimsuit.  Chlorine, saltwater, hot tub temperatures and sun can be damaging, so here are three tips to properly care for any swimsuit.

• If  available, shower to wet your suit before entering a pool.  A wet suit cannot absorb more water
• Immediately after use, rinse suit in cool, fresh water; then hand wash in a mild detergent
• Gently squeeze excess water from the suit.  Do not wring, wrap suit in a towel or leave wet suit in a plastic bag for extended periods
• Air dry suit naturally in the shade.  Never put the suit in a clothes dryer.
